In Nepal, 51 out of 100 girls tie their nuptials before completing the age of 18, either with their consent or from the family pressures as per the UNCEF Report 2011. Additionally, 39 out of 100 conceives baby by the age of 19 (NDHS, 2011). Pondering upon the global scenario, studies report that every year, an estimated 10 million girls worldwide are married before they turn 18, usually with no say in when or whom they marry (girlsnotbrides.org).
